This sketch was written about halfway through 1998 by Duckman & Weasel. There were 2 scripts written for this sketch. The alternate version can be heard on one of the Season 2 episodes of "Ducksel FM".

The character of Ben Leary (weatherman) was later used in the "Ducksel FM" series as a regular supporting cast member, though portrayed by Weasel in all recordings.

Ducksel Comedy are a duo based in Christchurch, NZ. They are mainly known on the Internet for their radio-themed album series, "Ducksel FM" (DFM), but also have a foot in the video field. They also have a 'soundtrack' album for their first video, "Comic Wit" from 1998.
